30 for 30 Challenge: Day 3

Today’s outfit was inspired in part by Jen, of A Little Bird and her first outfit in the 30 for 30 challenge, and by virtue of the post, it is also inspired therefore by 30 for 30 founder, Kendi of Kendi Everyday. It is also a follow-up to last month’s post when I confessed to owning more than a few belts but never wearing any of them:

This skirt is still an awkward piece for me. I bought it on a whim a few months ago and love the coloured stripes but the length and fit (oh-so tight!) make it difficult to mix. Of course, I hadn’t thought about adding the belt before but after yesterday’s success with a skinny waist belt, I figured I’d try again!

Whilst the skirt is an awkward piece, it is also the perfect addition to my wardrobe as it lends itself to be teamed with all black, which is totally my kind of style.

What do you think of the way I have styled the skirt? How else would you style it? I need help if I am to re-mix the skirt in this challenge!!

I am wearing: Marks and Spencer cardigan (gift), Gap tee (years old!), River Island midi (on sale, £10), Spartoo heels (£19), Marks and Spencer belt (£6, £2) and Marks and Spencer cocktail ring (£12, £4).
